The Custom trumpet market just got a little less crowded

Celebrated technician and maker Roy Lawler announced that he will take orders for his trumpets through the end of 2016, and then cease production after those orders are filled.  He will continue making his trombones, thereafter.
ATTENTION!
I will be discontinuing trumpet, cornet and flugal building at the end of 2016. I will continue to take orders until Dec. 31 2016. I would like to thank you all for your trust in me to build your Lawler trumpets over the past 30 years. Once all orders of Lawler trumpets from 2016 are complete all production will be devoted to The Lawler Trombone.
Thank You!
Roy Lawler
Lawler's work has gained acclaim as excellent craftsmanship.  His trumpets had become well known, and have been reported to me as excellent instruments by many of their owners.

But the custom trumpet world is rather crowded, with shops that make a wide range of types of instruments, and at varying output.

We will keep our ears open as to why Lawler has decided to concentrate on trombone production.
